For over a decade, Ryan has committed his professional life to guiding individuals through challenging circumstances and fostering a path toward greater harmony. These principles are deeply rooted in his personal journey of overcoming adversity and self-acceptance. His objective is to facilitate the processing of past experiences, learning to embrace the present, and cultivate a more promising future.

Ryan has accumulated extensive experience working with diverse populations on a wide array of presenting issues. This broad background has led to his specialization in working with couples, adults, and adolescents. In his work with couples, Ryan provides guidance on effective communication strategies for emotionally charged conversations, such as those involving financial matters and intimacy. He assists couples in navigating and resolving complex issues, including infidelity and the process of rebuilding trust. With individual clients, Ryan helps in the rediscovery of personal values and identity, assists clients in processing and resolving residual effects of trauma, grief, and loss, enhances emotional regulation skills, aids in managing stressful life transitions, and supports the development of self-care practices through liberation from "people-pleasing" tendencies. For adolescents, Ryan offers support in coping with developmental pressures, including identifying purpose and value, establishing goals for a brighter future, and fostering self-acceptance. Ryan employs a variety of therapeutic approaches, such as the Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Beyond his clinical practice with clients, Ryan also provides mentorship to associated licensed therapists. He is a certified clinical supervisor, dedicated to assisting supervisees in their professional growth and evolution as effective therapists and as people.

The culmination of Ryan’s extensive experience has led to the establishment of Gray’s Counseling of Arizona, an environment where individuals can pursue healing and personal growth. Ryan’s overarching goal is for clients at Gray’s Counseling of Arizona to learn the art of "living in the gray."
